Goblins, Spells, Unicorns - A Childrens Book

Tonight I will be sharing with you a Published Book, Titled...
" Goblins, Spells, Unicorns"
Written and Published by my 10 year old Neice, Raven Worrell...

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

We come from a Family, or bloodline if you will, of writters, including myself.
However, the first to actually publish was my sister Christina Worrell
(you can find her publication links listed at the very end of this blog)
Her Daughter, my (10 year old) Neice, has followed nicely in her footsteps,
with her first publication in which you are about to read...

"Goblins, Spells, Uncicorns"
By: Raven Worrell

"This book is written by a ten year old girl named Raven.
It's about Grub and Ditto,
two little goblins who remind us all of ourselves as children.
**********
They were doing chores while their Master was away gathering spell ingredients.
While they were scrubbing the spell wall, they noticed one of the spells they were not supposed to touch had been erased. Afraid they would get in trouble, they decided to try to fix it without telling their Master about it, even though he had told them to do nothing but their chores. Naturally, their plan backfired.
Add in some magical creatures, some gold, and a little bit of greed and selfishness and you get a wild ride told superbly from the mind of a child.

Find out what happens to greedy goblins, wizards, and more in...
Goblin Spells Unicorns!"

A word from the Author:

"My name is Raven.
With the help of my mom I wrote this story, and for several reasons.
We, my mom, brother, and I, read or make up stories every night before bed.
Sometimes the stories are so awesome we can't help but share them.
I know that I have a long way to go in learning how to write a book well,
but I am still in elementary school. Wait until I hit middle school!
I love to read and write.
I enjoy sharing stories I have made up with my six year old autistic brother.
When I am not in school, sleeping, or reading,
I am running around like most ten year old girls.
I hope this summer that my brother and I get a swing set and pool.
If we do I promise to keep writing and sending it to my mom to publish! -Raven"

A word from her Mother, my Sister and Published Author, Christina Worrell:

"This is a story written by a ten year old girl, my daughter.
I only edited it and encouraged her to rewrite certain areas.
Please keep that in mind.
It was not written by a professional/published author, but a child.

Grub and Ditto, two young goblins, learn a valuable lesson while working for a struggling wizard. Being lazy, dishonest, and greedy gets goblins nowhere.
When a spell backfires, because of their silly and irresponsible behavior,
and produces a unicorn, their lives are turned upside down."

Loaded Baked Potato - Potato Salad

This is a twist on the Potato Salad most of us are accustomed to, different, but very good!!
I wanted to share with you the recipie...

Loaded Baked Potato - Potato Salad

Directions:

- Cube your potatoes (1 bag of red skinned potatoes, leave skin on)

- Boil them until they are soft, but not "too" soft

- Drain them, then let them cool
(you don't want the cheese to melt when you add it)

- Add Ranch (the bottled kind) whatever flavor you like best...
I used Buttermilk Ranch,
but I'm sure the Bacon Ranch would be good too

- Add in Bacon Bits and Shredded Cheese...
I used a whole bag of shredded cheese
and a small bag of the "real" bacon bits...
(I find that the softer onese are better compaired to the crispy ones... tho you could cook and crumble your own if you prefere)

- Mix together being careful to not smash the potatoes...
however, you cold smash up a few if you prefere,
but leave most of them whole

- Cover and put in fridge until ready to serve

Quick and Easy...
My family really likes it, even my kids!!
I hope you enjoy!!

If you try this yourself, be sure to stop back by and leave some feedback :)
